A Recent Explosion

explosionLack of maintenance can result in major and dangerous situations.  A problem in the 34.5kV electrical vault outside a major class A high-rise building caused the main power to be shut down for 8 hours while the utility changed the damaged high voltage splice.  The force of the explosion lifted the concrete pad sending debris to be scattered throughout the area.  The electrical power to a facility is the heart beat of any building.  Power for computers, HVAC, and building automation rely on a well maintained electrical system.  With regular scheduled maintenance the reliability of an electrical system is increased.  The standard for this maintenance is governed by NETA (InterNational Electrical Testing Association). Their experience and board of qualified P.E. and Ph set the standard for increases in electrical safety and reliability.  Click the link below to view a matrix chart that provides maintenance schedules for different equipment.
