BEST Infrared Services was founded by Michael Bivens, a veteran thermographer. Mike has been utilizing IR (Infrared) technology since 1975, scanning mostly for the utility plants, power distribution, substations and many specialized research and development projects including working with Rockwell on the Space Shuttle Project.

Mike formally founded BEST Infrared Services in 1989, hiring quality, experienced service people to assist on inspections and maintenance. Because of the integrity and experience of the BEST Infrared Services team, the company has earned a solid reputation, retaining customers all over the United States who rely on our expertise.

Today: Training & Expertise

Today, BEST Infrared Services has grown substantially as a result of our intensive training and use of high quality equipment. We carefully select our new employees and enroll them in a 12 to 18 month training program. This training includes hands on, field experience that empowers our team to make the right diagnosis the first time. The classroom never closes at BEST Infrared Services. Employees are also enrolled in I.C.S. training for the next 3 to 4 years with a NETA Certification of Level III. The end result is qualified, competent people with integrity, trusted to care for your electrical equipment and it's safe operation.
